Main directions of research and development of the department
- computer aided design of technological processes of machine parts. The CAD / CAM software, which enables automatic process design and machining simulation in 2D and 3D, is of fundamental importance in these works,
- optimization and modeling of construction materials processing processes with the use of modern tool materials. The research concerns the mechanical, thermal and tribological characteristics of the process. Their implementation uses a multi-sensor measuring system with computer recording and analysis of test results as well as digital processing of images of contact fields using a CCD camera,
- identification and modeling of tribological interactions in the metal-coat / substrate system. Tribological tests are carried out on a pin-on-disk tribometer with a computer data activation system. They are used to assess the friction conditions and the intensity of wear of tool and construction materials,
- creating the geometric structure of the surface in technological operations with the required performance characteristics. Surface profiles and topography are analyzed using 2D and 3D profilometers,
- statistical quality control of products (SPC)
- shaping and diagnostics of the structure and properties of modern construction materials
